St. Peter's Annual Picnic

Our annual picnic at Quarterman Ranch will be Sunday, August 15th this year. We'll have Holy Eucharist at 10:00 am followed by a picnic and swimming.

Ice Cream Social

St. Peter's had a wonderful time at Sam Houston Park on July 27th at their Ice Cream Social. The ice cream was great and so was the music in the park!

West Hills 2nd Annual Independence Day Parade and St. Peter's Picnic in the Park

The West Hills Indepedence Day parade & picnic on Saturday, July 3rd was fabulous! The parade was lead by our local Amarillo Fire truck! After the parade everyone enjoyed St. Peter's hamburgers and side dishes. The Amarillo firemen also stayed so everyone could enjoy the firetruck and be reminded about fire safety. We can't wait to tour the new fire station when it opens! Thanks to everyone for making this a holiday to remember!

West Hills/St. Peter's Community Garden Work Day

Everyone worked hard digging, planting and mulching in May to start the 1st year providing the grounds for West Hills Neighborhood Community Garden!

43rd Annual Barbecue And Bake Sale

St. Peter’s held it's 43rd annual barbeque, bake and craft sale on May 2nd, 2010. Many came and enjoyed wonderful barbeque, bake goods and unique crafts!

Wednesday Evening Lenten Program

Our Wednesday Evening Lenten Program was every Wednesday from February 24th through March 24th. The evening began at 6:30 pm with a potluck dinner, then a program, and we closed with Holy Eucharist. The study was From Jesus to Christ: The First Christians and was well attended.

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner

St. Peter's Annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner was February 16th from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm. No one left hungry!!!

St. Peter's Annual Mardi Gras

Our annual Mardi Gras party was February 13th at 6:30pm. We had a blast!

St. Peter's Annual 12th Night Party

Our annual 12th Night Party was January 9, 2010 at 6:30 pm. We had a delicious dinner which was followed by an exciting Chinese gift exchange. It was a very fun evening!

Christmas at St. Peter's

St. Peter's held two Christmas Eve services this year. One at 6:30 pm and one beginning with music at 10:30 pm. The 10:30 pm service was followed by a Christmas Eve reception in the Parish hall. The entire Christmas season is a beautiful and exciting time for celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our tree was cover with needlepoint crosses stitched by many parishoners and is a sight to behold.

Thanksgiving at St. Peter's

Thanksgiving was a special time this year. We held our 1st annual Thanksgiving Dinner that was offered free of charge to the public. Many turkeys were smoked and delicious dishes prepared for our many friends that joined us. See you next year!

Annual Picnic

St. Peter’s Annual Picnic was August 16th at Bishop Quarterman Conference Center. We celebrated Holy Eucharist in the Chapel at 10:00am then had a picnic and swimming!!! Everyone had a wonderful time!

4th of July West Hills Neighborhood Parade and St. Peter's Cook Out

After a delightful parade through our West Hills Neighborhood Park everyone feasted on St. Peter's grilled delights!!!

Celebration of New Ministry

On June 14th we had a Celebration of New Ministry Service to welcome Fr. Bob, Maggie, Robert, Michael & Anne to St. Peter’s. The Rt. Rev. Scott Mayer was our celebrant and the service was spectacular. The Holy Spirit was among us. We worshiped, prayed, sang beautiful & uplifting songs, and took communion together as a community. Then we joined in fellowship afterwards to eat a wonderful meal. It could not have been a better day!

Pentecost

We celebrated Pentecost by releasing red eco-friendly balloons. It was a beautiful day!

St. Peter’s 42nd Annual Barbecue And Bake Sale

St. Peter’s held it's 42nd annual barbeque and bake sale on May 3rd, 2009. Many unique items finely crafted by skilled artisans from around the world were sold with proceeds benefiting local outreach projects of St. Peter's. Rev. Robert D. Taliaferro's 1st Service

Our new rector, Rev. Robert D. Taliaferro and his wife, Maggie were with us for the first time on March 1st, 2009. Immediately following the 10:30 am service we enjoyed getting to meet Fr. Mardi Gras Mystery Theatre: Death by Chocolate on February 21, 2009 was an evening NOT TO BE MISSED!!! The entire meal was made with chocolate! What an experience!!!

St. Peter's Episcopal Church 50th Anniversary

St. Peter’s celebrated it's 50th year on April 27th, 2008! We were blesed to have Bishop Wallis Ohl as our celebrant. Festivities continued immediately following the service with lunch, fellowship and sharing of memories of our past 50 years and dreams of our future. We had several long time members share some of their special memories, humorous stories and experiences.
